SRSA Awards for Teaching, Research, Extension, and Public Service
SRSA recognizes professionals in the association who have made significant contributions in Teaching, Research, Extension/Outreach, and Public Service. Nominations are currently being sought for the 2023 Awards. The awards for Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Research, and Excellence in Extension/Outreach recognize SRSA members, while the award for Excellence in Public Service may be presented to a SRSA member or non-member.
The nomination deadline is January 19, 2023. To nominate an individual, submit a single PDF application here, that contains:

Nomination Letter: This 2-page letter should document the nominee's significant contributions as they apply to the appropriate award.

Letter of Support: This letter should be in addition to the Nominator’s letter

Supporting Documentation: The nominator should provide supporting documentation such as a current vita, publications, project description, and course syllabi, as applicable.
Outstanding Student and Professional Paper Awards
Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their work for the Outstanding Student Paper Award ($200). Professional members are encouraged to submit their work to the Professional Paper Award.
Submission procedures and deadlines:
Please submit abstract and full completed paper to Eleanor Green (southernruralsoc@gmail.com). Upload a completed paper via google forms here for full consideration. Papers must be uploaded by January 19th, 2023.
When submitting, please include your name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, and email. For students, include a letter or email from a faculty advisor or department chair certifying your student status.
